About this event

This powerful exhibition at the Museum of Anthropology showcases a series of 51 'history robes' created by the late Haida artist Jut-ke-Nay–Hazel Wilson. The robes push traditional button blanket techniques into the realm of history painting, documenting Haida stories from pre-contact to the artist's own childhood. It is the first time almost the entire body of work has been displayed publicly together. Visitors can attend for half-price on Thursday evenings after 5pm, making it more accessible. The museum is located on the beautiful UBC campus and is easily reached by several bus lines.
